My family has been breeding, raising and showing dogs for seventeen years. I was born, it
seemed, in the midst of puppies- and then ponies, and everything after. From the youngest
of ages, I was surrounded by animals- and I fell in love.
Name me someone who cannot be touched by the gentle features of a puppy, or the soft, warm
fur of a precious kitten. Unfortunately- you probably can. There are many who do not
believe animals are anything more than a commodity- or object. Or 'Thing.'
Millions of dollars, everyday, is bled out of the bodies of animals. I am not talking about
food to eat- people see that as necessary, and though it pains me to think of it- I can see
others' opinions as something of validity. However, there are those that use animals in
cruelty far beyond the realms of anything you could dream of.
I don't want to go into detail- I don't have to. Internet searches garner more tears than
you could ever possibly want. Horse slaughtering- dog fighting. How could a human do this
to a living creature? I cannot fathom it.
"For the love of Animals." All creatures great and small deserve love- whether it be the
Greyhound that has raced his last, or the baby chicks that are dyed, in the egg, and rented
out as Easter treats. I love animals, and will- for the rest of my life, help those I can,
rescue those that need rescuing- and simply give good will to the smallest of creatures.
